Red Rocks in December 2003; I wanted to forward my mail there--permanently.

My sister Bridget and I and our two nieces Shelby Lynne and Abbey Rae...can you say you have ever seen me more BLONDE???

Wanna know what true love is all about? Styler/Sting, Travolta/Preston, JK and I...Who says 'match'making and the net don't go hand in hand. And you know it's right when it's effortless. This was at JK's sister's wedding.

What else? I'm a news hound! Can you digg it? Love to scour various publications and sites for the latest and greatest current events, trends, and products. And if you haven't already guessed, I've am well known to my friends as a hopeless computer geek. In honor of that, if you haven't already, peruse some of my favorite bookmarked links and let my free time work for you.

And to help you with your style, a shopping blog

If you simply can't find anything in your closet to wear (again), slip into some comfortable duds from American Eagle Outfitters or Wet Seal. Or stay in, kick back and relax in quite possibly the world's most comfortable chair: the LaFuma.

Your friends just had a baby, and they have NO time to relax. So how about easing some of their "wahs" by visiting Wrybabyor Baby's First Site and sending them a gift?

Looking for the perfect gift (for me)? How about Wishingfish, Sandtrapgifts, or Thinkgeek; or heck, get creative and just make me a gift at Cafepress.
And for the seasoned online shopper, an entire site devoted to discount codes at checkout: CurrentCodes.com

For health and beauty:

Spiral Haircase
As far as beauty is concerned, if you have curly locks like me, you'll want access to taming tips found at Naturallycurly.com. One of the most convenient (and refreshing) forms of facial cleanser can be ordered from Komenuka Bijin. Travelers nowadays will find them ultra-convenient because each dual-use little packet is in powder form and you mix it with water to activate it. To find your own must-haves, peruse the reviews at Makeup Alley. Although between you and me, Oil of Olay with Beta Hydroxy is an extremely economical way to keep that young look.

I know how to cook, and I've been known to be a little neurotic about organic and pure ingredients as well as trans fats and carbs. But who wants to sacrifice taste altogether? Not me! So I was more than thrilled to discover a fellow food fanatic who wants to lump both nutrition and flavor and seek out the top winners in each category. Lisa, at Hungry Girl has devoted countless hours to sampling what's already out there and has stacked up a pretty extensive collection of recipes and tips in the process. When I saw SkinnyCow and Laughing Cow already on the list, I wasn't just struck by the fact that I was gobbling up a lot of "cow" products, I was thrilled that I'd found a new automated collection tool for good eats.

If you're keen to the herbal scene or have a nagging ailment, check out MotherNature and you may just find the remedy you're looking for.

Fun stuff:
Accoutrements, I just love saying that out loud

Missed the latest infomercial? Want to order a Magic Bullet? No worries: CallUsNow.com

Hungry? Perhaps I can interest you in some hummus and falafel from the Pita House or you'd prefer to whip up your own creation at All Recipes. Most everyone these days could use a little side dish of humor. And Oddtodd, The Onion and Humorlinks can get you gorged. I personally can't seem to get enough of the stuff. Plus, it's fat-free and ab-intensive.

Fooling around? Feeling like a game? Travel back to the 80's and rustle up some QBert. For the Scrabble enthusiasts there's an online cheating guide--er dictionary. And speaking of games, next time you're in the mood for Monopoly, maybe try playing with a set of alternative chance and community chest cards.

Or perhaps you're creative with several words...enough to form entertaining sentences or (gasp) stories? Publish it for all to see at EasyJournal, Blogger, or any number of free online publishing sites. You can always remain anonymous. Most of mine are. :-)

Nothing to write about? Get outside! Could be a great night for an outing on the town, in which case you should consult Metromix or Chicago Scene. But first, have you checked the local weather or the traffic?

Without a doubt, there are at least two days a month when I go on a severe cleaning binge. I have the strength to move mountains and the patience to find dirt with a toothbrush. When I'm not in that mood, I'll invite you over and you can help me out. You can find a variety of cleaning products to lug with (mind you, they aren't necessarily green-friendly) at Cleaning.com. Click here for a special homemade guide on how to remove tough stains, or a list of additional tips that include battling red wine. And the best thing for any kind of stain is Tek. But sans actual cleaning products, I always keep around a nice big jug of vinegar. It (scarily) seems to work wonders on most things.

Silvo.com definitely has some cool home & garden products on the market. And if you want to find anything and everything in Chicago, there are a plethora of links at Craig's List. While you're at it, get LinkedIn to my network. I'll keep adding fresh links to my site, so visit often.

Have the Monday morning blahs? Check out Conan O'Brien's Harvard Commencement Speech, Ali G's, or Jon Stewart's for that matter. If you don't crack several wide smiles, lose my number....immediately.
